Overview

This position is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and reporting data to support capital execution and budget expenditures using applicable analytic applications.

 

Employee will work directly with Project Management to coordinate project deliverables, resolve project obstacles, and perform diversified tasks to ensure timely completion of milestones.

 

This position will require leadership, time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills along with the ability to follow industry related regulations and policies under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing analytical support for capital construction projects and services to ensure effective, efficient operations and compliance.

Budgeting & Analysis

  • Assist, support, and analyze capital project budgets
  • Forecast and update estimates and spending schedules
  • Monitor, analyze, and report project cost variances
  • Assist and request electronic invoices from contractors and vendors in a timely manner
  • Participate in bid solicitation, evaluation, and award
  • Collects and verifies project data to support project teams
  • Review project actuals for monthly forecasting cycles
  • Create quarterly accruals
  • Review invoice receipt reports
  • Monitor purchase order deliverables
  • Compare material tally sheets to as-builts
  • Review, reconcile, maintain, and report project surplus material
  • Initiate project setup, monitor, and change project status timely and accurately
  • Create material and service requisitions
  • Verify, maintain, analyze, report, and create a financial system receipt for material
  • Scan, upload, and maintain project documents for job books
  • Compile, develop, coordinate, monitor, and maintain project reports

 

Communication

  • Serve as liaison between Internal functional groups, vendors, contractors, company inspectors, and any personnel responsible for storing and physically receiving project material
  • Provides training and guidance to Team members as necessary
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with Project Managers
  • Serve on various committees and task force as assigned to support department objectives and accomplishments

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:


 



  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience as determined by the company

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a related field

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Manage time effectively with frequent interruptions

  • Proven ability in decision making and problem solving

  • Experience with collaborating with co-workers in Microsoft Teams

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and/or complex analytical tasks

  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel

  • Basic skill level in PowerBi and SharePoint

  • Utilize data gathering tools to analyze and report data

  • Ability to work extended hours independently in either a remote, hybrid or designated office to achieve results in a deadline driven environment with or without notice and occasional overtime.

  • Able to travel on occasion to job sites, team meetings, and construction kickoff meetings

  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy


 


Preferred:


 



  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or technical-related field

  • Familiarity with construction projects

  • Familiarity with material components of natural gas pipeline systems

  • Experience with Oracle, PowerPlan, and maintaining monthly forecast or budgets
