This position provides high level administrative and analytical support within Facilities Services and performs general facilities functions related to the daily operations of all Southern Star locations. The position facilitates day-to-day communications with Southern Star offices, field personnel, and external contractors to ensure projects are written and implemented successfully. The Analyst, Facilities Services partners with department leadership to identify, prioritize, and make recommendations to leadership for facilities maintenance, renovations, and construction projects. This position will monitor and assist in budgetary direction and industry, state, and federal requirements regarding facilities projects. Under the direction of the Leader, Facilities Services, this position will steer the current and future needs of the company’s facilities to best standardize and provide adequate facilities and support for Southern Star’s operations across our entire footprint.  


Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Assist in the job writing process for all facilities projects
  • Prioritize maintenance and needed renovations or construction across company footprint
  • Utilize a Project Assessment Matrix, to prioritize company projects
  • Assist in managing budget and general oversight for Facilities projects
  • Tracking and planning for future projects
  • Periodic facilities inspections and documentation
  • This position will be required to travel roughly 30% of the time to company field locations
  • Assist in managing larger projects
  • Make recommendations to leadership regarding facilities projects
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contractors regarding facilities projects
  • Build and maintain a reputable vendor base for facilities projects and support
  • Support Owensboro facilities team as needed
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years, facilities, construction, project management, or industry-related work experience
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to work and collaborate with both internal and external business partners
  • Experience with PC equipment, software, and Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate different computer/software applications
  • Ability to work independently


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, accounting, or related field
  • Knowledge of oil and gas and/or construction, renovations, facilities maintenance, and related products and services
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, and PowerPlan
