This position is responsible for the reputation, brand, and how the company is perceived. The specialist will execute a communication plan that meets the needs of other employees and the media. This position is responsible for a wide range of communications-related tasks such as writing, editing, videography, photography, content creation, crisis response, and public relations. Team member must be able to develop relationships (sources) at all levels across and outside of the company including employees, customers, government representatives, media, and public to tell stories visually and/or verbally in a way to inform, educate, celebrate, inspire, or support as appropriate. Must be able to learn, use and recommend communications tools and methods and maximize their use. Will be constantly on the lookout for how to modernize Company’s approach to communications and assist with public/governmental relations. This position will be the Company’s face and voice. The specialist must be available in real-time wherever and whenever needed to communicate/report in real-time.
The specialist will handle assignments that range in complexity and require the use of experience, innovation, and judgment. The specialist must have the ability to plan and conduct work requiring independent evaluation, assumes responsibility for contribution to the success of projects, and will exercise autonomy for unviewed decisions. The specialist must have the ability to function in lead capacity and mentor other personnel and on occasion may supervise work of others on assigned projects.
