Overview

This position will be responsible for and/or assisting various activities including but not limited to improving and supporting pipeline operations, providing entry-level analytical and administrative support to Field Operations personnel and others, and providing administrative support for Field Operations. This position applies strong analytical and computer skills to work in Field Operations. The position works across multiple departments and groups to increase system efficiency and effectiveness through analytics. The position will require an analytical and data driven mind-set to produce results. The analyst will provide specialized knowledge in the effective completion of projects, work assignments, and data mining. The analyst will plan and conduct work requiring independent evaluation and assume responsibility for projects outcomes. Employee will assist in implementation of departmental and capital budgets as well as provide administrative assistance. This position may be required to mentor and direct the work of others.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Collect and analyze data to create and deliver presentations to management
  • Contribute to the development and communication of the strategic vision and business strategy into clear objectives and tactics
  • Facilitate multiple teams across asset groups to find answers, learn, and grow
  • Promote open, honest discussion, and feedback while encouraging the flow of communication throughout the organization
  • Gain support and ensure commitment from others both inside and outside the company
  • Use tools quickly and effectively in Microsoft Office suite to manipulate and report information mined from various sources
  • Assist with preparation, documentation and record keeping for all Operations communications including audits, and electronic and hard-copy records for all assigned work sites
  • Work with damage prevention program and ensure work location participation with state programs, maintaining all needed documentation from those programs
  • Assist with annual reviews, effective evaluations, and gap analysis as necessary
  • Assist with updating the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and project forecast for current year
  • Generate reports to review budget data and share with management
  • Provide project administrative support for capital projects and maintenance projects
  • Maintain location(s) inventory maintenance and audits
  • Provide general administrative support for all assigned work sites
  • Assist with gathering data and records for internal/external audits
  • Serve as Company liaison at community events, help with volunteer efforts
  • Serve as the liaison between field locations and other departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Entry-level experience in the natural gas industry
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Ability to be analytical and solve problems
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to, and embrace change   
  • Ability to make sound decisions
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization effectively in a timely manner
  • Ability to use in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Basic skill in analytical software such as MS Excel and MS Access with the ability to create queries, forms, and reports
  • Ability to research and qualify effectiveness of new technology
  • Ability to perform bookkeeping, budgeting, or general administrative tasks
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply directions, policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements, and regulations

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • Experience working on the natural gas pipeline
  • Leadership abilities and facilitative leadership skills
  • Offer encouragement, coach employees, and develop and nurture teams across the organization

 

Other requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and insurability
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a high stress, demanding environment while remaining positive
