Overview

This position is directly responsible for working with customers to schedule gas on Company’s Gas Pipeline System by acknowledging customer’s needs, identifying problems, and applying technical and/or business solutions. Employees must collaborate with team members to resolve problems and finalize the scheduling of the gas on the pipeline. This position will also train customers to manage their business in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

 

Scheduling:

 

  • Performing tasks required to facilitate nomination, confirmation, and scheduling processes in accordance with federal regulations and industry standards with guidance and oversight
  • Developing relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Assisting customers in understanding aspects of services offered, resolving issues or problems
  • Entering specific transactions on the Company’s EBB
  • Promotes effective use of the Company’s EBB by assisting customers with questions or issues
  • Monitors customer level imbalances and communicating with customers about methods to manage and resolve those imbalances with guidance and oversight
  • Establishes integrity and accuracy of data within the nomination and allocation electronic systems
  • Attending customer meetings and events, as necessary
  • Preparing reports upon request of management in a timely and accurate manner
  • Testing and implementing required system changes required by NAESB or that would enhance the current system
  • Enables customer satisfaction through customer visits, presentations, and problem solving with guidance and oversight
  • Trains external customers in understanding the company processes, how to utilize them, and provide guidance regarding these processes
  • Provides guidance to agents, brokers, and producers regarding these processes with guidance and assistance from more experienced analyst
  • Monitors capacity requests to reduce over-nominated or over-produced locations in accordance with the tariff
  • Generates and maintains reports to allow for quick curtailment during restricted flow situations

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Entry-level experience
  • Knowledge of the gas industry, Company’s physical pipeline, and Company’s tariff and services contained within
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and/or reason
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
  • Ability to use and learn different computer applications
  • Ability to understand and adapt to change quickly
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and/or related software

 

Preferred:

  • Major in business-related field
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Access, or related database management system

 

Other requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and insurability
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining positive
