Overview

This highly visible position will be responsible for supporting pipeline operations and providing decision support to Field Operations to enhance operational workflows and ensure company performance metrics are achieved. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analyzing data, reviewing policies and procedures, preparing reports and making recommendations to Leadership. This business-critical position will work with a broad range of cross-functional business units and is relied upon heavily to achieve successful outcomes. The position works across multiple departments and groups to increase system efficiency and effectiveness through analytics. The analyst will plan and conduct work requiring independent evaluation and assume responsibility for projects outcomes. Employee will assist in implementation of departmental and capital budgets as well as provide operational coordination. The team member must be able to work independently and must have basic knowledge, understanding, and performance under supervision.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

 

  • Review, update, and make recommendations on company policies and procedures to enhance efficiency
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities, risks, and provide recommendations
  • Create monthly reports for leadership on key findings and assessments
  • Enhance workflow and cross-departmental engagements
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and other business partners to improve cost-effectiveness across multiple areas
  • Plan and conduct work requiring independent evaluation
  • Partner with leadership to manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure project timelines and organizational goals are met
  • Ensure the Company remains in compliance with all regulatory agencies, assisting with internal/external audits as necessary
  • Work closely with leadership and materials management to maintain inventory movement
  • Assist with updating the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and project forecast for current year
  • Order supplies, schedule trainings and other events as needed
  • Serve as Company liaison at community events, help with volunteer efforts
  • Serve as the liaison between field locations and other departments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and software enhancements
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure project timelines and organizational goals are met
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to leadership, influencing strategic decisions
  • Demonstrate resilience and agility; be adaptable to change

Individual may specialize in one of the following functional areas

 

Dig Crew:

  • Ability to support both an on-site team and a virtual team
  • Provide project management support to a high volume of capital projects
  • Work closely with dig crew leadership and engineers to schedule, create, track, and close capital projects
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of location inventory, adhering to all compliance documentation requirements
  • Provide all on site operational coordination and all location needs

 

Technical Operations:

  • Ability to support a virtual team
  • Work with project managers and engineers to create, track, and close capital projects
  • Work closely with technical operations leadership and engineers to schedule, create, track, and close capital projects

 

District Analyst:

  • Ability to support both an on-site team and a virtual team
  • Provide project management support to capital projects
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of location inventory, adhering to all compliance documentation requirements
  • Provide all on site operational coordination and all location needs

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Experience solving problems within tight timeframes
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to, and embrace change   
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of corporate budget and forecast processes
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to travel as needed to support your team

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • Experience working on the natural gas pipeline, specifically in an analyst role
  • Experience using Oracle, PowerPlan, Cornerstone, EAM, and PowerBI
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Proactive approach to embracing change and navigating complex situations
  • Experience with LEAN initiatives

 

Other requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and insurability
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a high stress, demanding environment while remaining positive
