We are confident that you will find the perfect match here to drive your goals.   In return for this level of talent and experience, Southern Star offers excellent medical benefits, competitive salary, 401k match, paid time off and tuition/fitness reimbursements.    This entry-level position is accountable, under close technical supervisory guidance, for basic level installation, monitoring and preventive maintenance of gas measurement, regulating, and related auxiliary equipment and facilities in a designated area of a natural gas pipeline system. Measurement Technicians will report to and is directly accountable to the Measurement Leader and will internally interface with all levels of Operations personnel and accept assigned responsibilities while also being on-call for emergencies. Individuals will perform technically at a satisfactory level while maintaining positive and ethical relationships with others including customers, consultants and vendors. This position receives guidance from senior technicians, Leader and Technical Specialists.  The individual will be required to maintain and operate their assigned area in strict compliance with the Southern Star’s O&M Manual, and State and Federal regulatory codes.

This position assists with the operation of glycol dehydration systems. This position assists local Area Operations personnel to coordinate activities with Storage Services to insure the safe, reliable and efficient day-to-day operations of the storage field; and assists with storage field/well monitoring and maintenance including monitoring the activity of outside operators near company storage facilities. Individuals will perform basic tasks and projects of lesser complexity, relying on established guidelines and/or detailed direction. Work experience and classes from Company will familiarize employee with processes, procedures, guidelines, regulations, and policies of Company, department, and industry, while demonstrating professional conduct and business ethics.
